Regional Stay Home Order Lifted

Mono County is now in the Widespread Tier

Mono County and The Town of Mammoth Lakes are adhering to the guidelines issued by Governor Newsom in his Blueprint for a Safer Economy as well as the guidelines issued by local county health officials. In some regards the County and Town restrictions are more stringent and supersede the state guidelines. Residents and visitors should familiarize themselves with these updated guidelines. FACE MASKS are required in all of Mono County and most businesses, restaurants and lodging are open with social distancing modifications. MUSD is re-opening for in-person learning

Mono County has reached a case positivity rate of under 25/100,000 and in accordance with California’s current state COVID-19 guidelines Mammoth Elementary School may re-open for in-person learning. Mammoth Middle School and Mammoth High School are NOT allowed to re-open until Mono County is moved into the Red Tier for 14+ days.

Beginning on March 1, 2021 Mammoth Elementary School will be welcoming K-2 students back for in-person instruction in a Hybrid Program. On March 8, 2021 MES will welcome back grades 3-5th to the Hybrid Program. Students will attend in-person, in part-time cohorts, Monday - Thursday. On Fridays students will engage in virtual and/or asynchronous learning. The schools will be required to follow the COVID-19 guidelines set by the State and Local Public Health Departments. This means there will be strict social distancing measures in place and all stakeholders should familiarize themselves with these new requirements.
